Can we see Vast.ai's stock?
Partly. Vast.ai is one of the providers listed in Aquanode's own marketplace, so we can show what OUR marketplace sees of their supply, not their total inventory, which may be larger or smaller than what we list. Right now our marketplace shows no live RTX 6000 Ada listing from Vast.ai.
Why the RTX 6000 Ada runs out
High-demand GPUs sell out fast across the whole market: capacity is added in discrete batches rather than continuously, and a popular model can be fully booked within days of a new allocation landing. That's a market-wide dynamic, not something specific to any one cloud.
What to do about it
If you already have a RTX 6000 Ada environment somewhere and need to move it, the fast path is portability: capture your setup on the way out, then restore it onto whichever provider actually has capacity right now, Vast.ai or otherwise.
Restoring an environment requires a snapshot that already exists. Stopping a deployment yourself captures it on the way out, so you can bring it back later on any provider. A provider-side termination is different: it is only recoverable if you had already switched automated snapshots on for that deployment, and it costs you the work since the last one. Automated snapshots are opt-in, nothing runs until you start it, and with none running there is nothing to restore.
